Top Ten Tuesday: Debut Novels

written by Grace H.
Grade 12

It’s time for another Top Ten Tuesday at the Winter Park Library!

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly challenge where book bloggers everywhere compile a list of ten books (or sometimes other reading-related things) in response to a prompt.

The challenge was started by That Artsy Reader Girl, and it encourages book-lovers from all over to interact and share some of their reading opinions.

This week’s theme is… Debut Novels I Enjoyed!

  1. Where You See Yourself by Claire Forrest (a heart-warming coming of age high school story)

  1. Everything, Everything by Nicola Yoon (a boy-who-lives-next door romance with a twist)

  1. The Hate U Give by Angie Thomas (extremely well written novel about social justice)

  1. Love in Winter Wonderland by Abiola Bello (her YA debut is a swoon-worthy holiday romance: includes a family-owned bookstore!)

  1. A Tall Dark Trouble by Vanessa Montalban (an adventurous witchy story about three teens navigating love, magic, and murder!)

  1. The Davenports by Krystal Marquis (historical multi-POV novel following four black women)

  1. Her Good Side by Rebekah Weatherspoon (fake dating contemporary romance in her YA debut!)

  1. Shatter Me by Tahereh Mafi (the start to one of my all time favorite dystopian series!)

  1. All Your Twisted Secrets by Diana Urban (told in dual timelines, a mystery/thriller that will keep you on the edge of your seat!)

  1. Don’t Hate the Player by Alexis Nedd (charming video-gamer romance)
