Title: The Finisher
Author: David Baldacci
Chosen by: Andres J.
If I had to pick a genre for this book:
FantasyWhy I picked it:
Because the description of the book caught my attentionBrief synopsis (no spoilers!):
This
story follows Vega Jane who lives in Wormwood, a village that no one has ever
left before because of the Quag, a dangerous forest filled with dangerous
creatures. No one is allowed to go into the Quag; however an incident occurs
involving Vega’s mentor, who leaves her a mysterious message, making Vega
question about the place where she is living. She starts to feel curious about
what could be behind the Quag. What secrets does it hide and does she want to
risk her life to answer those questions or stay safe and live without knowing what’s
beyond?
Swoon Factor:
1 - "Totally Platonic"
No romance whatsoever—just good vibes, friendships, or action-packed
storylines. Romance isn’t even on the radar.
Rating my choice:
4: "I’m Hooked!"
You can’t put it down. The book is exciting, emotional, or meaningful, and
you’re fully invested in what happens next.
My take on this book:
It was not bad. It made me feel quite intrigued and curious.
